How do I unblock calendar that has been blocked because I was not able to respond in time? If this is punitive, how do I contact Air BnB by phone to explain the circumstances and have it unblocked? Thanks from Claire

@Fern3 and Claire,  Given your length membership, your success as a host it is AMAZING you have not had to contact Air BNB.  Congrats!!  Seriously, many hosts have the same problem.  There is a community guide section under "Discuss" and a community guide t contacting Air BNB.  I use the Twitter account with some quick success.  Good luck!

I have the same problem. I cancelled on a guest. (yes bad I know) and now I can't unblock the dates which fall on Thanksgiving, a time of high demand!

Guest wanted to stay for dates that were mostly available but not ALL ... We were communicating back and forth about this until the 24 hr time period expired.  Now it is permanently BLOCKED.  I need to discuss the extenuating circumstances for this and unblock the dates.

Unfortunately there was a price miscommunication so I had to cancel a reservation.  I did give the prospective guest the option of a special discount, but this was declined.  How do I unblock the "cancelled" days?

@Glenys2 and @Dan99 You need to learn about cancelling because its is a big no no unless there's a good reason for it.

airbnb blocked key summer dates as punitive (stating that I cancelled so they are leaving the dates blocked). BUT the guest booked another place, closer to her kids summer camp, & never cancelled my place, so I cancelled it just to free the JULY dates.. FRUSTRATING!

@Jodi4  As is frequently stated in this community center, if you cancel a reservation that does not meet Air BNB acceptable reasons to cancel, one of the many penalties is for the cancelled dates to be blocked.  Only Air BNB can unblock them.  After you read the Help Center articles about cancelling, contact Air BNB if you think your situation meets Air BNB criteria.  Alternatively, you can book through other platforms or privately but you will not be covered by any Air BNB support.  It is your business.
