Unclean and uncomfortable stay

I checked in and the place looks clean but upon using things I can see it’s filthy. Last guests hairs on the floor, makeup & stains on white towels, dirty food plate in microwave, dried food in the oven, chicken bones on the floor, food crumbs and hairs in the freezer, food stains on the walls.
The host came, and ran around frantically but said nothing apart from - It won’t be cleaned until you leave!!! He made me feel uncomfortable by constantly looking at my chest which resorted me putting on a jacket in his presence.
the home has a strong perfume odour which is flaring up my allergies and asthma, and making my eyes water. I couldn’t find anywhere it’s coming from (neither could the host) but said I’d have to open windows all day - its 5 degrees cel - it’s cold.

The WiFi is incredibly slow, think of dial up internet... it’s slower! After work I need to do paperwork which has to all be done from my data. Can’t even watch a Netflix movie without fuzzy picture and constant freezing.
I also hear scurrying on the wooden floors and found some mouse/rat poop but have yet to see the rodent. All my work stuff had to be left at work because I work in a hospital and couldn’t risk bringing anything here.

I’m not usually one to complain and really don’t expect everything perfect but feeling uncomfortable and dirty, what can I do. It’s my first night of a two week booking. I honestly just want to leave, but with the host strict no refunds policy I’ll loose just over $650 plus I’ll have to pay for a hotel.

I’m also concerned how to go about it because when I originally made the booking, I had to change it for a week earlier, host didn’t want to.
Then I tried to cancel half the booking, host didn’t want to.

Then I suggested a friend took over my end half of the booking, host didn’t want to.

I suggested using second room for a co-worker for the week and host kept the second paid week, host said no unless I paid an extra $30 a night. However I paid for the ENTIRE space but he’s locked off two bedrooms and wants extra money to use.
there was no compromising with them, even when airb&b tried!
now I don’t want them thinking the complaints all has to do with this.

what should I do?

If you are not happy with the accommodation (as described by you) and also feel you do not get what you paid for, then you should discuss this with the host. If problems can not be resolved, Airbnb should take the case serious and act accordingly (like cancelling the reservation with refund of unused nights, or try to  relocate you)

Best regards,

Emiel

@Gina1255 I would contact Airbnb again, tell them all the things that are wrong with this place, and definitely mention that you are creeped out by the host staring at your breasts while talking to you- that you feel unsafe. That's sexual harrassment, something Airbnb takes quite seriously. Ask to be rehoused.

As far as the host refusing to let you have someone else stay instead of you- the host is correct about this- 3rd party bookings are against Airbnb terms of service- the person whose name the reservation is in has to be among the people who stay- you can't just give someone else days you paid for.

I know this is a late reply, but one guests need to realize. I have to now rethink ever using airbnb again after this rental, since although they have methods to rectify issues, they are time consuming and do not help a guest stuck in the middle of a bad rental. We had a similar experience with daily discoveries that made our stay less than ideal. We had many issues (dirt and mold, broken appliances, almost broken noisy appliances, impossible locks, etc.). Each of these issues were acknowledged by the host, but we, the guests were at her mercy. Yes they would come and clean the dirty area (the next day) and yes the lock finally worked after almost an hour so what's the big deal?. . .We had driven six hours to get to the home, and could have found other accommodations but at our expense. We kept hoping the discoveries would stop. Never did we get an apology or any compensation for our experiences.
