Using Airbnb Credit

I've booked a trip using an $80 travel credit earned from referring another host. I understand "They’re also not reusable if you cancel a reservation where the credits were applied." I am looking to extend my trip by 1 day, which means I would "change" my reservation and not cancel it. I'm finding that when I attempt to change my reservation, I lose the $80 credit. Does anyone know a work around for this?

im sorry i dont know.. i have £50 as an apology or inconvenience gift to use.  I have a feeling cancelling it or amending would probably alter the coupon status. I would message airbnb and ask the to byride it as you are not cancelling and actually taking on one extra day from host, so i cant see why they wouldnt accomodate.. Good luck, let me know.. Mala x
