Verifying a guest is 18

I have a guest booking with us for one night. He was quite honest and told me he’s in high school and he’ll be here visiting his high school girlfriend. 

I tild old him I cannot rent to a minor and asked him to cancel his reservation. He wrote back saying both he and his girlfriend are 18, but he hasn’t provided Airbnb with a government issued ID. 

Do so I trust this kid that they’re both 18? He could be 18 and bringing a minor to my house.

Have him scan and e-mail you his and her license.  Not sure why you accept guests that have not provided a government ID.
