WON't verify my picture /ID

I am trying to make a reservation, but I am stuck in verify profile purgatory. 

I do not want to download the app because it demands access to everything. However, ABNB will not accept the perfectly clear picture of my DL that I have taken repeatedly with their program on my webcam. I feel like "they" are forcing individuals into using the app.  

Is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone know how to get help for this problem?

To find wasy to contact Airbnb support ...

Type "contact airbnb" in the "Search the community" box on these forum pages where you posted your question. Scroll down a little in the list of suggestions that appears and click on the "Contact Airbnb: A Community Help Guide[UPDATED]" one. That lists phone numbers and ways to contact them via Twitter or Facebook.

It is possible to disable the app permissions that you don't wish to grant.

I use the Android version and have disabled all the permissions and the app still functions for notifications and messaging. I presume that the iOS version has a similar facility.

On the Android app I went to "Settings", then "Apps" and then clicked on the Airbnb app.

Then I clikcke on "Permissions" and then disabled all the permissions. I did, of course have to temporarily re-enable the camera permission to take a photo of my ID.
