What do you do when guest are not leaving

Hello,  I am still new to this and I have run in to a snag.  My guest is now 1 &1/2 hours over check out, I have contacted him a few times and he keeps saying he will be out .  First time he said 30 minutes and then 45 minutes later I text him again and he said in 10 minutes.  He is still there.   What should I do?  Thanks, Kendra

Hi @Kendra19, you can go to his place, knock on the door and say something like, I'm sorry I can't extend your stay any longer as I have cleaning schedule to do and running late for my next guest. Best to have somebody with you.  Or you can ring ABB to report him so they can ring him directly.

Thank you for your reply Marie.  They did leave leave the house but then stood around their cars for about 15 minutes.  I did in fact call ABB and as I was on the phone with them the guest did all drive away.

I agree with @Marie405, take your vacuum and cleaning supplies in hand, let yourself into the space (with a friend and a cell phone) and let them know you need to start cleaning because you have an other guest arriving. If they are hanging around because they are waiting on a flight or a friend or a drive, point them in the direction of the nearest cafe where they can wait in comfort. MOst likely, that will get them to shift. But if they are still refusing to leave, remind them that they only rented the space until xx o`clock, that they are currently on the property without your permission, and that you would hate to have to involve the police, but are prepared to do so if necessary.

Hi Isabel, Your suggest is great but all the cleaning supplies are there in the house.  My husband and I did think about going in to get them moving along.  I do like you idea of directing them to a cafe or such, will remember that for the future.  I think it was maybe the age group that they were may have stayed up very late and then could not get themselves going.  Thankfully, it is over.  Thanks for your reply.
