What does the renter sign?

Seems strange to just hand over the keys to a stranger. We have our first renter coming in a few weeks.

Your contract is already in place through the conditions you included on AirBnB. I assume you also have a security deposit in place with AirBnB. Other than that, you have either looked at their reviews and were happy - or if they didn't have reviews tried to find them on facebook, or LinkedIn, etc... There is an element of trust - good luck - first time is always the most nerve-wracking.
