What is reasonable for a highly sensitive guest? His Son Had Herpes.

On 24/06/2017 night at 1.15 (i.e. actually 25/06/2017 1.15 A.M.) a guest *** came late than scheduled arrival (10.00 PM-12.00 PM) His Son had herpes,he booked for 3 adults while they were 4 including their driver. On my objection about these things he  asked me to return money on the pretext that he was getting cheap accomodation through some other website. Creating scene in our steet he took away 2033/- rupees cash from us (the amount he must have paid to airbnb). While we were to get rupees 1623/-from that booking. His Son also Had Herpes (a highly communicable disease). I request airbnb to pay me back rupees 2033/- secondly I request the community to guide in such cases.

Oh dear @Abhilasha2 it sounds like you haven't read up on how hosting works when it comes to guests breaking house rules.

All you had to do was contact Airbnb and let them know your guest had broken up your house rules by turning up three hours late and with more people than had booked. They would have cancelled the booking for you and you would have kept any money due in line with your cancellation policy.

You should never exchange money outside of Airbnb. Any money due would have been processed through Airbnb.

You need to call them know and explain what has happened.

They won't refund you unfortunately as there is no proof of what happened. That's why they make it clear any refunds go through them.

@Abhilasha2 , so sorry this has happened to you. Nobody here can help you with this, I suggest you contact Airbnb directly by phone. (Find their phone number or contact info for India in the community help guide how to contact Airbnb.)

If those guests have taken money from you (how did that happen?), I think you need to contact the police if it was theft. Airbnb will not reimburse you for that incident.

You do need to take the name of the guest out of this post here asap - accusing someone of having a contagious disease is  a serious matter and you could be liable for making defamatory statements.
