Why is Aribnb hiding profile pictures until a guest confirms a booking?

I am very concerned about the format here  not showing a profile picture of all  the guests until booking in! The president  of the US that is stirirng up racial hate. What if a person of color books in to a white surpremacists home? This needs to change as we need to see whom is booking in and now it is for safety reasons.

This question has already been discussed at length on these forums.

I would presume what would happen is that when the white supremacist sees the persons photo on booking they would find a way to cancel. Although it is unlikely they would use a platform celebrating diversity in the first place.

@Stacey21 Maybe after this policy was put into effect all the white supremacists hightailed it out of here for the same concerns as you have ... all the "what ifs."
