Will Airbnb please add private non-review related host comments on bad guests

A problem I'm encountering is when I have a bad guest I want to tell Airbnb about, but to do so a review must be posted after which the host can add a private message to Airbnb that won't be shared with the guest. I know the review system is extremely important to the Airbnb system, however, there are cases when it would be bad for me to post a negative review and I certainly don't want to give a thumbs up to these people - mainly when the guest(s) live within three hours of my listing home (in a large city) and can easily come back to cause problems. I only want to do this when the guest has been a serious problem, so retaliation from a negative review such as damage to my home would be highly likely. So in these cases, I leave no review to keep myself and my property safe. However, I would greatly appreciate a private way to write Airbnb about the problems encountered, perhaps when I report and block them there could be a "reason" area where comments may be entered. It would not be appropriate to use customer service for this since there's nothing specific for them to do - and I'm sure they are busy enough helping handle immediate problems. Thank you for considering adding this feature.

Have you thought about other prospective hosts of such guests in the future, @Roberta150?

I agree leaving a review acts as a warning for other hosts, so they don't go through what you did.

 

Have you contacted Airbnb about these guests directly?  If not give them a call so there is a record.

 

You can call them on their customer services number.

@Roberta150 Like @Marzena4 said, think of the future hosts who may be subjected to this terrible guest. Don’t they deserve a heads up? A review doesn’t need to be long and terrible. You can just write something simple like, “Would not recommend”

@Roberta150  Your safety comes first in all your decisions.  I get that.  You did not share what the issues were with these guests.  While the thumbs down review is a way to warn other hosts, perhaps you can use the flag under the profile to report the guest behavior.  I would only do this if you believe the person is totally inappropriate for Air BNB.
