Hi everyone,
By mistake I added a wrong PayPal account (email address). I have already entered a new (my correct PayPal email account) by pressing Payout Preferences (add Payout Method) but the old one is still marked as default and ready and also in the Payout Routing Rules. I cannot find any button to delete my old account number (email address) and make the new one to be the payment preferences and “Payout Routing Rules”. Could someone help me or explain if this is as it should be? I know someone else had asked the same question but I cannot find the answer.. I personally havent used the payout method as yet so don't have personal experience and if as you say the guide is no help, then perhaprs sent Airbnb a twit, ther are very quick to respond and vvery helpful
As per Dave & Deb's guide - please see below process to contact via Twitter if you are not already using it
2. Contacting Airbnb Via Twitter
I find the second best and easiest way to contact Airbnb regarding any issues I may be having is by using Twitter. Airbnb seems to have dedicated staff who monitor their Twitter feeds and I usually hear back from them within 5-10 minutes of posting my isssue.
Step 1: Log into Twitter
Step 2: Search for @Airbnbhelp and choose "Follow" them
Step 3: Send a Direct Message (DM) explaining your issue and wait for their response. They may ask for information such as your listing but always provide it over DM so it is not public.
Hope you get it sorted and perharps update this post on the correct process once you know just for future reference

I did the same thing (one digit wrong in my PayPal email address). I have had two bookings paid to the wrong PayPal email. Do you think Airbnb will recognize this error and pay the right PayPall account? I do not use Twitter, so don't know any other way to connect with someone at Airbnb to see if that $$ is gone for ever (almost $500 in booking commission).
