calendar synching problem with Booking.com

The URL code which AirBnB gives is invalid. When I paste the code into Booking.com site I get an error message of

"This iCal URL isn't valid – please try again."

Anyone else have this problem and were you able to resolve?

I have found that some platforms are unable to use the Airbnb calendar link. Two options:

1. Bring the Booking calendar into Airbnb instead and then update the Booking calendar manually for an Airbnb reservation.

2. If you use a third platform, say VRBO, then sync that calendar using the Airbnb link and then send the third platform's ical link to Booking. Double to check to make sure it is working since all of Booking's reservations are instant book.

BE AWARE! We tried Booking last fall and received three reservations, two of which were already booked days and the days were definitely marked out on the Booking calendar. We cancelled our account but Booking really hassled us about it.

Your post gave me an idea, normally I have instant booking, but because of the possibilty of double bookling then I am going to remove instant booking on airbnb for the Attic Room and keep the single Room on Instant booking (if there is a double booking on the single then is no problem as have back up plan ... they can go in to the Log cabin 🙂

BdC has now over taken AirBnB for bookings (BdC 74%, AirBnB 26%) ... This time last year AIRBnB was 90% capacity, so not worried.

Although have less control on the quality of guest with BdC they tend to be more respectful and appreciative than AirBnB guests.

Hey Chris,

I've just started getting this error message, it was working fine until just this week. I'm not sure how to fix the issue. I would think there is something with in the iCal in Airbnb that has changed.

Airbnb and Booking are really good in selling your rooms. But when it comes to the integration they are not so precise. I've got the same problems before and completely forgot about them since I switched to channel manager to sync my inventory across  all of the channels.
For the price of cappuccino (5$) per month, all my troubles gone.
