cancellation fee

Hello Everyone,

Why is it that I had to pay Airbnb 43 euro of a cancellation fee when it was the guest that cancelled the booking?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I did recieve an email saying "Guest requests that you cancel"

However, I did not cancel the booking it was the guest that cancelled the booking!

So I dont understand why I should have to pay the cancellation fee for the cancelling of a booking I didnt actually cancel 🙂

If you agreed to/accepted that message, it is treated as a host cancellation.
