cancellation

Gday guys,

We have just had a guest leave after 3 days in of a 33 night stay. He is claiming that the house isnt satisfactory (first time for everything!) and so I offered him a 25 nights back so I have time to find another guest. My question is when does the calendar reopen so other people can book and also I am worried he will write an unjust review, is he able to do that or because he cancelled he no longer has the option to review?

To my knowledge, those dates will not be unblocked.  Airbnb has paid you for the entire stay, you have chosen to refund him out of your own pocket even though the cancellation policy does not require you to.  Airbnb doesn't let you double dip.  You or the guest should have AMENDED the reservation instead of cancelling it all together.
