changes to moderate cancellation policy

As hosts we wanted to comment on the recent Moderate cancellation policy changes. Currently the guest can change with no penalties paid to the host up to 24 hours of arrival time. We found it unfair ...we are not running a hotel but have 1 cottage for rent...this is our income support and having the accommodation blocked and then cancel 24 hours before check in, is not fair nor right.
Previous policy allowed for 50% compensation if the booking was cancel within 5 days of arrival.

Now , we have to go to "strict" to protect ourselves....which is not the best for the listing.

Where did you read about this change ?

As the HELP still displays the old situation:

https://www.airbnb.com/home/cancellation_policies#moderate

Also your listing displays this under "cancellations"

What you describe seems to me the "flexible" policy ?

@Marzena-and-Richard0   I have a moderate policy and I haven't seen this change you mention. Are you confusing this with the fact that a guest has 24 hours to pay once they have booked?
