changing a reservation and making a special offer

A guest asked to extend their stay by one night and I was happy to accomodate because the night was available. I made the reservation change, but it looks like she is being charged a significant amount more for the new 5 day reservation than she'd intended. So then I tried to make a special offer, but it wouldn't let me.

Any help vey much appreciated!

You cannot make a special offer to a confirmed reservation, only a reservation change.  https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/35/how-do-i-send-a-guest-a-special-offer

You can offer a refund through the resolution center - but make sure that the guest isn't seeing the total of the entire 5 days.
