comments made about my last cancellation

My guests cancelled there request as I could not accomodate them for the two days. They had made it clear they were a male couple with which I am more tham happy to host. The reason that was posted for  the cancellation guests not suitable  as if I was objecting  (notof my doing)I emailed them to say I objected to this air bnb statement. They were not offended and hope to visit another time. This  could have been hurtfull and offending  how can this happen
