disconnect google

My partner and I both have separate accounts which are linked to out respective Google accounts. However we discovered that it is more convenient to use one common account so that we can share the same favorites list and so that we both can read and react to messages. We are now using my partner's account for this. However whenever I log in to his ABnB account, I am also automatically logged in to his Google account (and logged off from my own Google account).

Is there a way to unlink the account from Google? We both use our google email address to log in to ABnB.

Hi @K31

On my dashboard it would be:

Click profile photo----click "Edit profile"-----click "Trust and verification"

That doesn't work for me. they make me log in through google but then the trust and verification page only offers option to connect, not disconnect.

It all depends on wether  you used Google to sign in for you (OATH) or Google/Chrome to remember your password.

You can stop the first by going to myaccount.google.com/permissions then find AirBnB and remove.

Stop the second by going to chrome://settings/passwords then find AirBnB and remove.

If in doubt check both and you should be sorted!

thank you so much!!

@Anne1170  Here;s the process to remove it. Before you start though click on your profile picture and then Settings. On the right hand side there is Contact information. Edit that and make sure you have the email you want to use listed if not change it and save it. The follow the instructions below:

Here are the full steps.. You need to sign in with Facebook or Google to proceed:

1) Click on your Profile Picture  -> Settings -> Privacy -> Social Connections -> untick Share my activity

2) Edit profile -> Trust & Verification -> disconnect Facebook or Google

3) Log out

4) Try to Log back in with only your email. If you get the 'You need to sign into Facebook or Google dialog' continue with step (5)

5) Log out if you're logged in. On the login page, click FORGOT PASSWORD. This will send a reset password email - go through that and reset your password. Then login again with your email. No more mandatory Facebook or Google login!
