Hi,
I had someone book my listing and canel demanding a full refund. I had two other people inquire about it at the same time, but since it was last minute they found other places to stay. Now this person is harrassing me to give him back the full refund.
Anyone have this happen?
Yes, there are some guests who simply play with the reserves. Are not usually former guests Airbnb probably new people using sites where it was easily maneuvered.
It has happened ... The guest came to me, saw the house, said he liked .. spent two days I asked if it was okay for sms and he said yes. Upon check out he also said it was okay and then demanded me by airbnb full refund, and invented a dozen lies to justify such a situation. But as he did not like the taste because they were lying, it was enough I refuse to refund and explain to airbnb what really happened and everything was resolved.
There are many guests who want to go on vacation but apparently without spending money and use some tactics increasingly elaborate.
But Airbnb can protect us from that.
I hope everything is resolved for the best I can and I have helped ..
Good luck!
@Brittne0 Since they canceled, I would just ignore the conversation, and archive any message.
@Brittne0, ignore him. It's between the guest and AirBnB. Did he stay with you at all?
For the future, I strongly urge you to change your cancellation policy from flexible to moderate - or even strict.
Having a flexible policy makes you an easier target for scammers, which is possibly what this guest was counting on.
I also advise you to put a Security Deposit in place.
