I am the host on airbnb for somebody elses house.  I want to stop being the host and  the owner of the house now wants to  host.   Is this possible?

The owner needs to create an Airbnb account and setup the listing. It should have be done already in the beginning. Then you could have signed up as a co-host or maybe admin, managing the business for the owner. And then you simply could get out of it now and leave everything to the owner, including reviews.

No you have to deactivate the listing and the owner needs to setup it all again from scratch.

Emiel

Thank you emiel.  Thank you for all the informaqtion provided.

I  have tried to deactivate the account, but as we have 2 upcoming bookings - One in September and one in December it's not allowing me.  They are instant bookings.  Can I cancel them?  Is this going to efect my rating as a host?
