how many keys should a guest have per room in the house

What to do?

Ive got a guests in a room, in one of my shared houses. I only provide one set of keys per room. But Ive had the present guests asking for a set each. Bearing in mind there are 3 sets of keys for the house, one per bedroom.

Should I provide a set per guest rather than per room? If i do provide 2 sets of keys per guest, should i charge a small fee? Or a retainer fee just in case they loose a set. I dont want to be mean but it cost £14 per set of keys.

The group I had in before lost 2 sets of the spare keys hence why I dont have my spare sets.

What is reasonable?

Thanks

Hi @Liz223 , unless they are work colleagues in separate rooms, or two separate couples, then one set per booking should suffice.

The only time I offer two sets of keys for my two bedroom entire space, is when I have two work colleagues, or two couples utilising the space.
