how on earth...?

I have a guest booked May 14-21 and Airbnb just sent me a query for May 17-22!! I pre-approved her on my hand phone and then went to the desktop to check comp rates and realised this... What if she had confirmed?

 

Not just this, often I am recommended by its RM system to "unblock dates" which are seeing a surge in queries. How on earth do I unblock an existing reservation?! Throw the guest on the street???

 

How can a system double booked dates when they should be "closed" once a booking is made. Elementary, Dear Airbnb!! Someone needs to test and fix this bug.

@Sulakshana0 I think your experience is a great example of what can happen when you manage this business assuming all is going perfectly with the Air BNB platform.  I have had a similar experience.  Of course when I contacted Air BNB, it was immediately corrected as it was a system glitch.  They took care of everything.
