so I figured today the girl im staying with who has me ON A COUCH for 2800 per month is only getting the place 2 bedrooms for 2500 so not only am i'm paying for her to live here - she is a full-time model im a student with bills, this should be my place it's actually insane how this website takes advantage of people trying to find a place to stay

Actually @Dan232 it's your job to shop around and compare prices. Maybe your host IS taking advantage of you and maybe you could be living somewhere better with a proper bed at the same or lower price - but it is your responsiblity to do your homework, understand what is the going rate for certain accomodations and find the best deal for yourself.

I think I would be mad if I were in your shoes, but I'd me more mad at myself than anyone else.

It really does not have anything to do with airbnb.  The deal is between you and your host.
