is this a platform bug?

Hi community,

 

I've received from guest ABC a confirmed (instant) booking on last Sunday.

 

Now the guests sent me an email to let me know estimated arrival time and in the conversation thread ( as well as in the airbnb email) states

 

"You can’t invite ABC to book yet

You can’t pre-approve this guest because these dates aren’t available on your calendar."

 

well of course these dates are not available, since ABC booked allready on Sunday

 

and further down below in the same thread it says:

 

Booking confirmed Last Sunday at 9:16 AM
Hi! I’m ABC

 

 

so I have 2 questions:

should I just not worry about it?

and

did they pay the reservation?

@Herwig0 If your calendar now shows the dates booked by ABC, then I think you're safe to assume the booking "took". You might message ABC within the AirBnB message system to see if they also feel like the booking is solid.

@Dede0: thanks for your advice, I feel secure about my guest's (ABC) booking, mainly because the dates are blocked by Airbnb. Anyway (in my opinion) it's a platform bug, someone should have a look at. It's not normal behaviour if a guest makes an instant booking and a day later when changing information through the airbnb message system, suddenly the message "you cannot confirm the booking" appears.
