lost superhost status

Hi.

I have a listing on "Instant booking" and that way I believe there is no penalty if I cancel a booking that just got in.

I´ve been working on getting a Superhost status and in the next month I should receive it.

Will this cancellation block my way of receiving that status?

The listing was for some reason open for june 2020 and I can not host the person. I have explaied to him that the room is not available in one year but he is stubborn and wants His way no matter what...

Will I expell my chance to get a superhost status if I cancel it?

The only reason an instant book guest can be cancelled is if you "are uncomfortable hosting" the guest. The process is that you have to call Airbnb and tell them that and the Airbnb CS has to hit the cancellation button. If at anytime you hit the cancellation button yourself then you will be penalized, even if the CS tells you to go ahead and hit the button.

If you cannot host in June 2020 then go into your admin and change your settings to allow bookings for 6 months instead of one year. You can also block off specific days in your calendar by clicking on them.

I have changed the setting already and blocked specific dates.

Yes I am uncomfortable hosting this guest for sure. I guess I will call the team then.
