my listing

Hi,

First time poster. Been hosting for about 4 months now.

We have a 3 bed flat which we rent 2 rooms as seperate private room listings.

I've noticed that one listing gets about 150 views per month whereas the other only gets about 50 views.

So far its not been a problem as both seem to be renting. I'm just curious as both rooms have the same amenities and information. In fact the one with fewer views is cheaper as its a slight smaller room.

I guess I'm just concerned that i've done something which makes that listing not as popular to the airbnb algorithm and may be missing out on potential bookings in the future.

Thanks in advance for any of your comments!

Hello @Frank-Libby0,

I presume that the room with the fewer number of views is the one labelled "Bright double ..."

Is the double bed in both rooms the same size?

Some things you might think about ...

A double bed with access from one side only is often less appealing than one with access from both sides. For me, this would be the main reason why I'd explore the other room option rather than the "Bright double ... " one.

The downward angle of the photo makes the bed look smaller than it is. Maybe photographing it from a lower angle but still twords the corner would help to better show the size of the bed. For photography purposes you could temporarily move the wardrobe so you can back further into that corner to take the photo.

Everything is white, which makes for a bright room but the photo might look more inviting with a brightly coloured or patterened bed cover and pillow cases.

It might also help to make it less compacted looking if the chest of drawers was pulled the foot or so away from the bed that the open door allows.

The nice bright light from the window means the photo looks a little grey on the right hand side. Mabye having a photo in warmer evening light and with the lamp on might give it a more cosy look.

Thanks, I will try what you have suggested!
