new host and am having trouble unblocking dates

would like to start earlier than my listed date but can't. is it just me or do others find airbnb very difficult to setup and then manage

March is completely blocked until the 31st.

Make sure you're not the one who blocked it.

Go to your calendar, click on a date in March, and then click "Available" on the right hand side.

See if that works.

I don't know about others, but I found it very easy to set up the listing and manage the calendar.
