I have a guest due to be here within the hour. I looked her up and cant seem to find any person with this name nor social media. Airbnb has there verification cjeched but i would like to see the id. I asked the women who refuses to send it from phone yet says she will sehow me when she arrives. I have a ten year old and i am uncomfortable havimg this women in my home. I am trying to reach airbnb but have been waitiung for @0 min for someone to answer.What do I do?

If you have verified ID ticked then your guest has already provided photo ID.

 

What is it about your guest makes you uncomfortable? Has she had poor communication? Are you not sure about plans for her stay?

 

I am not surprised she didn't want to send ID via the phone.

Hi - you should never accept a reservation if you are uncomfortable with the person. As you don't have IB turned on you had plenty of oppotunity to ask the guest if they would share ID with you as part of the booking process. She has offered to do so when she arrives, which is much better anyway, given that any photocopied or amended document sent by email or as a photo may be a fake. 

 

I am sure it is all fine, but you do need to think ahead as to how you want to handle future reservations and not put guests in a difficult position once they have booked.
