open booking request

Hi

 

what to do when people contact me and ask question like: is pool heated and I am answering immediately but they are not coming back to me. 

Normally I contact them again and ask if they are interested in booking but do not answer. This is a problem with Egyptian guests. They are not reading the offers properly and then contact 10 owners asking the same question and do never answer.

What can I do with the open inquiries like this?

All you can do, @Susanna252, is to respond - as you're doing - in a timely manner. Lots don't have the manners to say thanks, less so update you following your answer.

@Susanna252  You are using the terms "booking request" and "inquiry" interchangably. They are not the same thing. When people send inquiies, they are just asking questions and may very well have sent out inquiries to multiple hosts. It's more common than not for inquiries to not result in bookings. It's nothing about how you answered the inquiry that caused them not to book, in most cases, unless they are asking for something you don't provide or asking for you to bend your rules for them and you let them know that won't be possible.

So just answer the inquiry within the 24 hour window and then forget about it. It's a waste of your time to follow up with another message if they didn't get back to you on their own.
