painted my guests...

last one cropdelete.jpg

They sent me some photos of their stay, I loved this image so I painted it. It is a perfect example of guests using the house as it should be used, dressing up, playing. I thought even if I sell the house at some point I could have this as a souvenir. Susie: I imagined the tv away, in case you wonder why it looks different... Turns out both these girls are actresses, which will explain their excellent posing abilities!

@Sandra126  If you ever want a break from hosting, i can see a new career for you- traveling the world with free stays everywhere in exchange for painting people's accommodations. I for one would be happy with such an exchange. It would have to take less than 5 weeks, though 🙂

Brilliant, would be happy to exchange holidays for work, @Sarah977 . It took so long because of the intensity in detail, such as the book titles, the fur etc and it is 1,5 metres long. But I like detail... I'll come and paint you working in your beautiful garden. Off season!

@Sandra126  Many years ago my niece travelled to Greece with a friend. The girls were about 18. Her friend was stunning looking, tall, with long blond hair, a ballet dancer with a gorgeous bod. She managed to get a job waitressing right away. They weren't interested in hiring my niece. So she was sitting in the cafe where her friend was working one day, disgruntled and scribbling pictures on a napkin. The cafe owner walked by, looked at her drawings, and asked if she'd paint a sign for his business. She did, and other business owners in the area started asking her to paint signs for them as well when they saw her work at the first place. So instead of standing on her feet all day waiting tables, she ended up taking her paints and boards to the beach every day and working on the signs, while enjoying herself and jumping in the ocean whenever she felt like it.

@Sandra126

You have done so incredibly well to paint a picture with a 1000 words.

Love my art to, however one must keep some things as a surprise for guests when they arrive so mine are not on display in my listing.

Your picture reminds of the ladies reminds me of a pair of paintings in my collection that are of a lady wearing a hat & fur stole draped over her shoulders which came about when my very talented Artist school friend told me as I was washing the paint mix board to do a print with the roller over paper on it.

I followed her wise words and have two very original artworks with a story behind them.

They are oft a talking point with guests in my home & are to this day 2 of my best artworks!

All the best and enjoy your creative timeout
