We have been doing vacation host rentals for awhile but are new to airbnb. We have just received a reservation for July. But the airbnb info states that we won't receive payout util 24 hours after the guest checks in. This is too late for our process, since a guest must make payment now in order to actually reserve the property.
We are listed on other sites where we can collect the rental fee up front, so we wouldn't want to hold the date for an airbnb guest this far in advance with no payment and then lose a paying-up-front guest.
Are any of you facing the same issues? How do you handle this?
Also, it says that I can pre-approve a guest. But, when I follow the instructions and go to my inbox and open the guest thread there is no preapproval to check for that guest.
Thank you,
Maureen
