My guests, a family of 4 stayed in my loft for 4 out of their 6 day stay. on day 3 they failed to use the shower curtains provided and flooded the bathroom with about 1/2 of water and left it there. The water soaked through the floor to my 2nd floor living space bathroom. When i pointed this out, the guests maintained that since it was a bathroom any water left on the floor was" normal"
i mop that floor regularly, we have long and short stay tenants and have never had a flood so significant it soaked through to the 2nd floor.
They chose to leave before their stay was up and any discussion regarding the damage/ secuity deposit were refuted. It is my intention to claim the full damage deposit, ( we tried to work it out amicably with the family but they refused)
It is my feeling that i should not bother writing a review, as if she sees i have written one, she will write a bad review, despite them loving the loft, etc. My question, as i am fairly new to airbnb host is this. If i choose not to write a review and she writes a review, does that review become public at any time? or by nature of the way reviews work, both guest and host must write reviews in order for them to be posted on listing or profile??
