Dear Sir/Madame,
I am subscriber of your site and renting out my apartment located in Istanbul, Turkey as
landlord to visitors to make income since couple of months now and had quite some visitors up
to now.
My apartment is located in a residential complex having 12 buildings with around 750
apartments in total. This residential complex is operationally run by a directorate formed of …
people chosen from the individuals volunteer to take responsibility on management of the
residential complex.
This directorate (Site Yonetimi in Turkish) now is giving me notice as the short-term renting
weekly or per month of the apartments in the complex is being forbidden by the
management due to some list of reasons they place on their notice and they would only accept
tenants with yearlong contract.
It will be very difficult for me to continue renting through your site if I choose to obey their
notice. I am not sure if they have legal rights to give me such notice or would that be truly
legally binding me.
I thought you should have already been asked such questions by some other users of your site
facing same kind of problems in Turkey and you would have answers to my questions through
your legal connections with local authorities in Turkey. I will appreciate your valuable guidance
on that issue to let me deal with that serious problem properly and hopefully find a way to keep
renting my apartment through your site.
Thanks in advance
