Hi,

I just joined the Airbnb community.  I'm loving it so far!  I looked at my CCR's and didn't find anything that would inhibit  me from running an Airbnb in my condo.  I was wondering if I need a permit?  Or a business licence?  And what government taxes would I have to pay.  Would there be additonal tax besides net income?  And would you advise on a schedule C?  Thanks so much.  I want to do everything correctly, so I don't get into deep waters at tax time!

When I had the same questions about my city requirements, I easily found the information on the City's website using search term, short term rental.  Most cities do charge an occupancy tax and most cities classify the Air BNB type hosting as a short term rental.  Hope this helps, @Pamela423
