refund for shorter stay

Hi

 

I am a new host and would like to get help. My guest requested a refund for one night shorter stay. ( from 3 nights to 2 nights).

She sent  a request a day before the arrival and I have submitted the change in "Alter Reservation" yesterday.

 

After I did a request to AIRBNB,  the guest reservation details shows " This alteration request is pending. You will be notified when there is a response"

 I still waiting for the response and not so sure if the guest see this request and she has to  to submit to AIRBNB too to complete to request from both sides ?

 

I don't understand, would appreicate if anyone can help explain how to do for next step. My guest will check in today at 2pm.

Hi Tammy, 

 

If you've submitted the alteration already, just tell your guest to respond to the email regarding the alteration. 

 

If they didn't receive it, they could go on their account online > click Inbox > click the message with you > they should be able to see it at the top of the page. 

 

They could also find the alteration in "Your Trips." If they do not respond to that, the refund would not go back to them.
