I cancelled a booking that I now need to reinstate, but it seems after cancelling the booking the dates were automatically blocked (as a penalty?) so I cannot reinstate the booking. Is there any way around this?
Yes, @Jess59, exactly. It is a penalty. You shouldn't have cancelled it yourself. Always ask the guest to do so, even altering the reservation is better.
I just did the same thing and now I cannot get the booking back. This is completely disadvantaging the guest as the property is blocked out of the airbnb calendar however still avaliable on other web sites. Surely a progressive organisation like airbnb has a way to reverse mistakes so that all can benifit. Anyone have any positive suggestions other than its my fault?! John
