The Old school explain that human has many hierarchy of needs to achieve one fulfilment A.K.A self-actualisation
As a host i often sees my self as a provider of place for many human main needs to escape, the common term for it is travelling, or taking a break of our common daily life, cause is to common for us, most times it spark our boring human sides that can lead to a state known as bore-dome.
So when a boy escape/ run away.. they are circling the planet looking for some thing different, some thing that is not common for them..
this things can also be the common thing for us.. the interaction always make me recharge when it ends up well
several points that is considered curtail and important to do:
welcome them with a style
the first impression is important, make it different unique.. make it original.. Use your personality as your greatest weapon, but remember to feed them (starving crowd can be nasty), make them feel safe, and make the feel good about being at your place.. spend 10 to 30 minutes tops.. than vanish.. not too much, not too fast.. it give them weird idea when their brain is to tired to think straight..
Respect their circle of trust
being humble is the main key to be able to learn their property of these circle size.. to close you freak them out, to far you make them feel un important.. some people like it to be left alone, some people needs closer attention.. keep an open mind, cause you can never assume and judge but the common guide lines known as stereo type and bias and discrimination point of view are not 100% accurate is actually a changeable complex variable.. once you assume you are than submit to a discrimination act..
be honest and trust worthy, it keeps the circle unbroken..
Enjoy the unknown
be grateful, cause they world is a play ground.. have fun, and be curious, so you can conduct good energy transmission between human.. when you enjoy the moment every thing will become more easier, lighter, and more swiftly to do spontaneous exciting turns.. if you are afraid, they will to effected by if.. cause energy can be contagious..
create Magic
trick them, present above their expectation.. make your description a standard and your performance the reality.. be creative, be original, and do outside the box.. like a magic show.. no body actually got chopped off.. is the illusion that make it great.. you don't have to continuously steal their breath away, or they will die.. only a single moments, so it become memorable..
never fail to be polite
it what separate us from the no class or no value.. respect always works better than fear.. always communicate back, always give an answer, always in control of your self.. dress clean and smell nice. look them in the eyes, and greet..
many factor held us to perform these important factors.. so:
take enough rest
feed your self
and breath
we are human, perfect is impossible, but is all good, cause it gets better through time, and simply learn and improve..

to change the world, we must change our self.. don't worry to much a bout the cheap shot and the small scum.. it will not hurt us to much.. only at the beginning, then when we allowed them to do so. cheap things don't last..
