why was a reservation confirmed when I never got a request for a stay?

Had a reservation  confirmed by AirBnB and never got any request from this guest to stay at my house why is this?

You probably are in Instant Book.

@Mark1683  You have instant book activated. There is no reason for someone to request a booking if they meet your instant book requirements. If this isn't what you are expecting, go into Listing --> Edit and take a look at your preferences.
