I just received a message on my dashboard saying that 'Your performance has fallen below the average for hosts, and it's important to focus on improving it', when I'm doing everything I can to make every stay exceptional and guests can testify to this.
But it actually gets from bad to worse on the next page where the message reads 'Your listing could be removed if you consistently fall below.Learn more'. This is very upsetting to say the least.
How do you really quantify accepted reservations when most if not all of the non accepted reservations where about the check in and out window?

I'm in a similar situation. I did make a post on Monday titled " Super Hosts and Host Standards for long-term hosters".
Since I can't accept every request because we are not a right fit, my Air bnb ratings have gone down. Same as yours. Yet, I'm booked almost year round.
I don't have an answer for you except to reach out to customer support and ask them to change your ratings. I plan on calling them again for that request.

I just found that they hace recently re-added this to the standards withour warning. In 2014 this was a standard that was removed as it clearly violates a host's right to match their home to the guests requests. No parties in rules, means don't ask to host a party, no pets means your dog can't come, and when the calendar is clearly booked, well....
Ditto...I don't understand why I my acceptance rate is affected when people don't read the rules and I have to decline them.
When did this 'Acceptance Rate' get turned back on in our standards?? I just noticed it as well without warning.
I have received warning about my acceptance rate on many occassions. The problem is that the guests will ask for TWO people to share a room that is advertised for ONE. Should I accept them and tell them the room is only for one person? It seems that would screw up other potential guests and leave me scrambling?
I have a very low acceptance rate because it seems that guests don't bother to read the listing before making an inquiry. It's so frustrating! I am very picky about my home and the guests I want staying here. My home is an "adults only" space and it is very clear in my listing. I think this has drastically affected where I am on the listing page in terms of guests being able to find me. I have a perfect rating and glowing reviews from every guest, for the 3 years I have been hosting. The first year I filled up every minute and had way more inquiries than I could even handle. The second year I wanted to do less hosting and became more particular about the number of guests and still had people inquiring about bringing their children and hosting family gatherings. This year I have had way fewer inquiries, which means guests are not seeing my listing. I am really upset by this...and on another note Air BnB sent me a letter saying I can't discriminate against children. This is MY HOME. Shouldn't I be able to choose who I have as guests? I feel strongly that I should be able to refuse anyone I want to. It's MY HOME, not a public business.
