Airbnb App

Airbnb App

Hi All,

Just wondering if someone else has had the same experience as myself recently. I am a new member of Airbnb (UK host)  and  created my login, listing etc as a host on my laptop.

On my phone, I have uploaded the Airbnb App but I do not have any link with my hosting page. I notice that,  when I look for my property on the app (on my phone),  checking I am using the right criteria, I can not see my property listed at all. This applies even when I reduce the listing to 20 properties using the filters. The only way to find it is to actually type the complete address int the search  window. I.e. this is no use for a guess trying to find a place to stay. No all the options available appear to show up on the app.

I have contacted Airbnb support for this and honestly it felt like a dead end. The issue has been referred to technical support without further information of what 's going on. Do you have a similar experience? Please note that I can find the property if I look on the Website (instead of the app!).

Any feedback would be welcome! Thank you, M

Hello @Marie1121,

When I searched on the Android app with filters set for "instant book" and "Entire place" I found your listing when I moved the map to your area and zoomed in. You can get a map display by tapping on the

After moving the map or zooming you have to tap "Redo search in this area" to update the listing display.

I'm not sure if you're aware that the app has two modes, "Hosting" and "Traveling".

In "Hosting" mode you can see icons, at the bottom of the screen, to do with managing your calander and listing. They are "Inbox", "Calendar", "Listing", "Progress" and "Profile".

In "Traveling" mode you can see icons to do with travveling, like "Explore" and "Trips".

To switch modes tap on on "Profile". You will then see a "Switch to" link to switch to the other mode from the one you're already in.

Steve,

Thank you.

Glad you could see the place.  The original account I opened on the app was bogus as I was not hosting at the time of its creation and was not planning to use it for anything else than browsing (and I don't like leaving my personal data everywhere). I have now linked the app with my real account  - the hosting one that can be flicked between travelling and hosting, as you mentioned.  I am still not sure why I could not see the place on the bogus account. It seems fine on this other one . thank you for your feedback.
