Airbnb rewards

Hello,

Recently, Airbnb notified me that I was a superhost and that I had earned a reward. Of the options offered, I selected a photographer to create some new images of our place. He came, did his work, and is now telling me that Airbnb will decide which photos will be featured- they will post them to my site. I cannot get anyone at Airbnb to tell me differently- I am alarmed that anyone other than me (the owner) could determine which photos will represent my property. 

Any advice is welcome.

Hi @Peter1394 yes this is correct- if you choose to have Airbnb send a photographer, paid or otherwise then they will decide what to shoot, how to shoot it and then what is uploaded to your listing.

The only control you will have is the order of the photos once they are uploaded.

You also won't own the rights to them so can't use them on other rental sites etc.

There is certainly more freedom in taking your own photos or paying for your own photograper who you can direct as you wish to get the results you want.

Hopefully you'll be happy with what is uploaded.

Okay, I understand. I don't believe that Airbnb should have the right to represent my property, so I will ask that the new photos be discarded. I am sorry that this is your policy.

@Peter1394 You aren't talking to Airbnb on this forum- all of us here, except the 2 forum moderators, Lizzie and Quincy, are just hosts or guests exchanging info or asking questions, like you did. I suggest you let Airbnb know through their feedback forms, or when you tell them to discard the photos, that you object to this policy.

@Peter1394 Hi, I did the same as you a years ago. On the shooting day actually you can speak with a photographer show him your sale point space. Of cause, photographer have to do the standard fame Airbnb briefs them. In my opinion is not that bad. Airbnb PLUS program more strictly.

Photo from Airbnb will be selected by Airbnb and upload to you automatically in about 3 weeks after shooting. You can order or delete the one you didn’t like ( but it will gone forever). After the upload your listing will be boot for more views for a period of time ( about a month).

overall I okay with this service as I use from my Superhost reward too. I got for about 35 pictures ( from my 3 bedrooms entire home ) under a picture will be a words say “verify” but only see from desktop site.

You have so beautiful listing. If it is possible for you, the bed with  blue coverlet in your listing " Hidden space more than just a room Chiang Mai", do you add it when there are more guest
