Allowable characters in messages

Any geeky people out there who know how to insert icons into messages?

I'm tired of English and Latin characters - they are not broad enough for my international guests.

And certainly not Airbnb worldly! (I am trying to shame Airbnb here....)

Just like all the kool kids in Japan, I would prefer to use icons: Happy face, clock times, checkin arrows...

I ask because I am able to copy Chinese peoples' name character and paste into messages.

Obviously, the message box will accept non-latin characters, but how can I get a list of acceptable characters?

Any thoughts?
