Amador County Requirements

Hi Everyone:

I'm considering listing a room in my home in Jackson, CA which is in Amador County.  Can anyone currently hosting in Amador County give me an idea of what the legal requirements are regarding the County?  Do I need a business license, etc?  Any help is appreciated very much!

Hi @Tammy173: The fastest way to find out your answer would be to contact an Airbnb host in Jackson that has a listing similar to yours. You can click on Contact Host, it will make you choose some dates so choose something as far out in their calendar so you don’t tie it up.  Just make sure that you use Contact Host, not Request to Book. Tammy, just go to assessor’s office and register. They will give you certificate of authority to collect tax which you pay quarterly. That’s all you need now.
