Please keep in mind that this "Community" forum isn't for sharing your negative experiences about Airbnb Plus. This forum is only for nice and sweet things. Otherwise, your post will switly be rejected. It would, however, be nice if the Airbnb Plus team actually responded to issues as quickly as the Community moderators. Ooops, I did it again.
@Jeff471 My personal experience on this forum (2.5 years) has been that anyone that has something to say, presented in an adult fashion of give & take, has nothing to fear from Airbnb or the moderators here. In fact, the opposite.
Take: I'll take your statement as you are saying my post was not in an adult fashion, despite not having seen the post outlining my fact-based experience with Airbnb Plus.
Give: Passive aggressive statements directed at other community members doesn't fall under the guise of 'adult fashion'.
Well, I told you exactly what *I* have observed; that any post made in an adult fashion, meaning with just basic civility, has nothing to fear from Airbnb or forum moderators. I have no clue what you have posted nor what you are even particularly are alluding to.
@Syl11 I agree with the need for moderators and I understand Plus is a focus area. However, it's certainly in the best interest of Aribnb Plus and its prospective Plus hosts to hear what current Plus candidate experiences have been like. I imagine the staff is overwhelmed due to the market response but issues should not be swept under the moderator rug. Doing so undermines the whole concept of a community forum. Regardless, my post was rejected and there's nothing to be done about that. I have sent an email into the Aribnb ether. We will see how badly (if at all) I get punished in the search result rankings for not wearing my cheerleader outfit today...
Can't say why your post was rejected, but there are a few threads running here about disgust with the Plus program. They haven't been deleted.
@Sarah977 its prob because the moderators couldn't get to some editing posts in time.......can't catch them all..........LOL
If its non plus complaining about plus, it diff to plus people complaining about plus.
Jeff the CC forum is specifically set up for registered Airbnb users to talk to each other and discuss issues. The Communuity Centre is run by, and moderated by an independent company...it is outsourced from Airbnb.
There is a considerable cost associated with this outsourcing but it is a cost gladly covered by Airbnb because many issues can be resolved here without directly involving the resources of the company's support.
Email support is also outsourced, and that company has a success rate higher than 90% so, as you can appreciate Jeff this takes considerable pressure off of CX.
Now, I have been active here since December 2015 and have about 3,860 posts, and on not one occasion have I been subject to sanction for anything I have said by the company....and just recently I have had some caustic comments to say about the Plus program. I have had posts modified if I have stepped out of line with any comments, but no punitive action has ever been taken against me by the CC moderators or the company!
But I have got my fingers crossed Jeff!!
The moderators of the CC do an outstanding job of keeping the CC running efficiently and well and the only time a comment or a post will be removed is if there is personal vilification involved.
