Well no, in actual fact you have shot yourself in the foot! You must never, never cancel a guest reservation! There are serious penalties for hosts who cancel guest booking because it throws guests plans into chaos and reflects very badly on the Airbnb platform.
This is what happens when a host cancels a guest reservation.......

Now as you are a new host @Gordon32 you can call Airbnb and explain your situation and the events surrounding this cancellation and there is a possibility that they may wave these penalties in this instance, but it is up to you to know the rules of hosting and, in general...."I didn't know" is not a legitimate excuse.
