Impressive. I think Airbnb is trying to step up customer service. I had a question I posed through Twitter and after a few exchanges Simone from Airbnb CALLED ME we discussed and resolved quickly.

Perhaps they ARE listening!

Hello!  While I was on vacation, and away from my email, airbnb worked a resolution with a former guest of mine. Do you have a phone number for someone with airbnb customer service?

Me too. I contacted them this morning via Twitter and got a call from a very nice young lady. She completely resolved my problem. It was the first time I had been in touch with Airbnb Help so I didn't realise the phone call was not normal practice.

their customer service actually one of the best. they called me, replied my email and always prompt solving any issues i have. sometimes I wonder why a lot of people think they dont and they cant be contacted?

@Andrew90 , @Kim-and-Jen0, @Angela181, and @Nancy134, I too have had prompt and efficient service each time I've contacted AirBnB (five times in total over the past few months).

As I'm in the Netherlands, I've used the local number each time, but in fact the people who responded (always within a minute or two) were located in the US.

In one instance, the support staff member rang a person in Russia in order to clarify something for me, and then phoned me back within the 10 minutes she'd promised. 

If new hosts would simply take time to read the basic information - available throughout the Community Center - about how AirBnB functions, and to make a note of the local (or emergency) numbers, there'd be far less cause for frustration and anger.

Even just using the 'search for anything' box above, or turning to Google, will pull up most of the answers regarding contact details as well as many of the other issues that confront new (and not-so-new) hosts.
