My building found out about my listing on Airbnb. So now I have to unlist my place. Very annoying. I already have a confirmed booking in April. Can I still host in April while my apartment is unlisted?
Well, if you're asking other hosts if you can break the law and terms of your lease, absolutely not, you should not do this. You are working against the terms of service of Airbnb as well which means you may not be fully covered by them should this reservation cause you any problems. You should contact Airbnb right away and let them know so they can work with you to get the guest rehoused elsewhere. You will be hit with a host cancellation penalty, but at this point it's only $50. If you let it get closer to the date it will be far more.
That being said, if you get permission to host this last reservation from your landlord, snooze your listing and take no more reservations, this one will stay active on your dashboard and you can delist it afterwards.
And risk having your guests thrown out on the street because you want a few $ before your inevitable end of hosting? Why not, help ruin Airbnb's reputation for all of us.
