Cancelation of third party booking

Hello everyone, 

I need your help about the third party booking.

Assistant from a company contacted me about the trip of other three employees, so I provided her with all the information and asked that if they decide to book my place, one of guests should do it, as third party bookings is against the Airbnb rules. She still booked my place instantly and when she was asked to fill the information about other two guests, only then shen understood what I ment, as there was her name on booking and she had no option to fill information about the third guest.

Now she wants to cancel the booking, so her boss will be able to book my place (as she is one of the guests), but I have strict canceletion policy and do not want her to have problems at work, as she will not get a full refund.

 

I changed my canceletion policy from strict to moderate and wanted to make sure, that if she cancels the reservation now, she will not be charged.

 

I am looking forwar to reciving your recommendations.

Hello @Natia17 ,

Changing the cancellation policy will only effect your future reservations, NOT an existing reservation.

They existing reservation will allways contain the policy offered at time of booking.

Your guest needs a business account with Airbnb, then they can make bookings for their employees.

So your guest should contact Airbnb and explain the situation, probably Airbnb can sort it out for them.

@Emiel1, thank you so much for your recommendation, it really helped.  I contacted the person who booked and asked her to contact Airbnb support center. Hope we will manage this out.
