Scenario: A reservation comes in, and shortly thereafter the Host discovers the guest does not meet the posted listing qualifications. Group is too large. Pets. Not immediate household only.
Guest does not respond to Host when stating the listing not being a good fit for the group. So, Host cancels the reservation shortly thereafter.
So, it’s all on the host. The calendar remains blocked, the cancellation rate is affected, and an automated “Host cancelled this reservation” is posted.
Does it seem reasonable to request a short grace period for a Host to cancel a reservation when it doesn’t meet the posted expectations?
