Cancerllation

I had a guest due to arrive Monday 22nd February, she contacted us at 4.15pm on the due date for her arrival, she said she had car trouble, and could she now arrive Wednesday 24th February and stay till the followin Wednesday which I agrred to.  We have been awaiting her arrival all day, at 10.15 pm this evening the 24th February she telephoned to ask if she could cancel the reservation. The payment has already been authorised is there anything we have to do. We are on strict terms and conditions. Any advice welcome. Thank you Clive

@Clive4 I see no reason for you not to stick to your cancellation policy.  If she wants to cancel, she may do so at her end.   She needs to contact Airbnb if she's not happy with the refund amount.   I hope all the discussion about car trouble, ect is on your message thread so if she comes up with a whopper of a story for cancelling, there it will be in black and white.

Thanks Clare it has worked its self out now she has obviously had a rough ride at home and turnd up late and we had space so extended her star for her by 2 days. it is a lesson in my gut feelings as i hesertated in taking the booking at the inquiry stage.

I do think the car stuff was just an excuse
